Just a couple or three.

South West.

What makes you think an artifically created property boom will produce demand from consumers in Western Europe? Think Ireland.

Midlands.

Increasing fees for overseas students too much may reduce the amount of overseas students willing to pay.

North England

Increasing tariffs on non EU imports will break certain trade agreements and you have nothing to stop the countries involved reciprocating by imposing tariffs on our exports. Thereby further reducing what little exports we already have to those areas.

Also increased tariffs will have a knock on effect to the consumer, items from those places will be more expensive as will components imported from those areas we use in production of our own consumables.

Why regionalise the various sectors? Does it mean universities in Scotland, the North and South of England etc will be disadvantaged etc?

Quite like the energy propositions unfortunately I dont think people who follow the NIMBY trend will just lie down and not fight any development they dont like, think middle class trendies becoming tree hugging protestors.
