A lot of people now view her as a has-been or a joke, which is awful because she's not. She needs to do killer performances, sing live, promote, and talk to her fans. She said on Twitter that their would be promotion announcement in the next few days, and that was over 2 weeks ago. I don't get why she can't just do ONE interview, I just don't get it. I realize that there is a lot of damage control going on in Team Britney, and they are trying to not let journalists ask her about her breakdown because they want the public to forget about it. That worked in the Circus era, but I think that it could harm her popularity in this era. She needs to answer questions about those years, it will make her seem more human to the general public.

Yeah doing a lot of promo would do her the world of good.
She just announced this btw
She sounds like she's got a cold but at least it's something.
I've noticed that too, a lot of her hardcore fans are going off her because of the lack of promo, but Britney hasn't done proper promo in years, I can't believe people honestly expected this era to be any different but I do think it is a shame and it would be nice if she did. Yeah one sit down interview with someone like Barbra Walters who I know does one off shows where she sits down with a celebrity and asks them about their life, America's answer to Piers Morgan's Life Stories but I don't think she would do it. Even if she wanted to, I doubt her management would allow her after her breakdown which she's never openly spoken about. It's too much of a risk. I do agree though that it would make her seem more human and it could get her a lot of new fans but I don't see it happening anytime soon sadly.
Still, at least we have the GMA appearance to look forward to. If that's her only promo for Femme Fatale it's a real shame but at least it's not no promotion at all like the infamous Blackout era.
