Technically (and realistically) the overall temperature has been cooling. for something like 5 years or more.
No doubt (and we ought to expect) it will also go back up for 5 or 15 years and then cool again.
But as Lord Monckton might ask - what temperature is the climate supposed to be?

Long time no see el-proximo good to see you checking in
You are correct and that is why a lot of "experts" have suddenly stepped away from the term global warming and have coined the term climate change.
In the 80's the panic was that we were entering another ice age accelerated by cfc gases as temperatures had been dropping over a 10 year period only for the realisation that this had stopped happening and was followed by a 10-15 year period of rising temperatures causing the term global warming to become the hot topic.
Then comes the period we seem to be in now seeing some of the coldest winters on record all over the world so now we get panics about "climate change" so they dont have to do an about turn again.
It looks to me like these could well be natural cycles that the earth encounters and that not some crisis that needs to be dealt with yesterday or we all die.
I still think we need to change and that we are slowly poisoning our world and it cant continue as it is indefinitely but as for creating a huge greenhouse that we are all going to fry in ummmm no i dont think so.
(just out of curiosity in the 80's the panic was about the huge hole in the ozone layer that using aerosols and fridges had caused the hole was due to get so big we all died of radiation poisoning from ultra violet light what became of that hole? )
