Christina Aguilera is a facing a lawsuit over a sample used in her 2006 single 'Ain't No Other Man'.
According to TMZ.com, the singer and her record label Sony are accused of paying the incorrect distributor for use of a sample from Dave Cortez and the Moon People's 1968 track 'Hippy Skippy Moon Strut'.
The lawsuit has been filed in New York by TufAmerica, an independent record label, which claims it bought exclusive rights to 'Hippy Skippy Moon Strut' in 2004. Sony allegedly paid Codigo Music and the Clyde Otis Music Group for use of the sample.
TufAmerica chiefs are asking for all claims to have rights over the track to be voided, and also for damages for copyright infringement.
Meanwhile, it has recently been confirmed that Aguilera will not face prosecution after being arrested last week (March 1) for public drunkenness.
