I loved the first one, prefered the second, disliked the third, and hoped the fourth would redeem the franchise but sadly it didn't.

But this time I'm more excited about this one for numerous reasons. The new writer is Eric Heisserer who wrote the Nightmare on Elm Street remake, which I'm told was one of the better remakes of recent years. The director is Steven Quale who worked with James Cameron and has a better understanding of 3-D films than David R. Ellis did on Final Destination 4. And Tony Todd from films 1 and 2 is returning.

My only criticism is its working title of '5Nal Destination' but maybe that'll change.
The nightmare on elm street remake was not a good movie lol.

It currently holds a 13% approval rating on rottentomatoes.com

Nowhere near a good remake.

They raped one of my fave films
