I've been away from BB for a while and came back rather surprised they are pushing to do this again so soon.

Since you all must have been wondering what I think then I can tell you now:

- It was almost mandatory this skipped at least one Summer entirely, if not two.

- This ought not be 'BB12'. No way. This should have returned renamed from the get-go and for example: Big Brother Redux: Season One.
Very disappointed they are even letting it be regarded as '12th' as if part of the same 'series'.

- I'm just catching up but someone is telling me they are still doing this at the old building?
Another huge disappointment. A 'BB Re-experiment' was in order and ideally in a completely different location, probably an actual mansion and the technology exists to pull that off now.

- People are discussing 'who will replace Davina' and again that shouldn't even be a discussion nor should there even be a 'Presenter' let alone a 'Davina spot' or 'Davina Replacement'.
EVEN IF there is a 'Presenter' format here then its something else. Not 'Davina's replacement' or 'The Davina Spot' etc.

- I do have a massive conflict on this next one. I'm told the great Marcus Bentley is back. He is THE VOICE. It could never be BB,
however,
IF it were let alone for a while and 'Rebooted' entirely new as Channel 5's 'next generation' in a new location with a totally new spin?
Yes, then Marcus is our 'connection' to that past series.
However,
because this is appearing to be nothing more than Channel 5's version of C4s Big Brother then Marcus is really just continuing this and actually it almost seems sad in some way he is still there.

- BB Eye. This could be another thing that returns (not 'stays') but returns to a reboot but in some different use and concept but not again as it were just another season.

Anyways.
You see my entire complaint is that rather than showing this (or returning) respect and giving this a proper restart I'm getting the feeling its going to be nothing more than C5's 'lesser cheaper' low-budget version of C4's too expensive series.

Anything good to say?
Yeah, I'm going to hold out hope that this actually will be time for something completely different. That I will see something that looks and feels very different, might even be more 'purist' and more for the older generation (the fans who are no longer 17 years old and now want something more serious).
That original idea which was actually quite a serious social experiment.

I'm repeating this I know but I've asked people to view 'How Mad are You' (I think it was Horizon?) but THAT is what the modern updated 'BB Reboot' should aim for.

I just know I do NOT want to see "Oh.. C5 is doing a cheap 'knock-off' version to squeeze the last few pennies out" and watch the cheap 'jump the shark' last season of a dying sitcom milking a contract and bringing in a baby family member.

Anyways, I am psyched for as much different as possible. in a good way. BB9 was simply amazing and as fantastic as it can get and where it ought to have ended. I will give credit for C4 really did try and pull it together for one last hurrah at the end (great casting at least) and UBB was truly amazing fun,
but,
I would love to see 5 really do this their own way. Don't try and be BB12 but try and be BBRedux 1
Don't try and fail to copy Davina. do your OWN 'first presenter'. Don't try and out-do what C4 did but start your OWN new unique angle, spin, views, looks and feels that are yours!

/rambling on pills thx
