It is hard coded into the male of just about any species that to reproduce is to succeed there is no getting around it that is the genetically encoded aim of males is to spread their seed so it shouldnt come as any suprise to see a man puff his chest up with pride when being told (via the word slut) he is successful at his aim in life.

Females on the other hand are hard coded not only to reproduce but equally if not predominately to nurture and raise offspring so to be focused on what might be seen as the wrong part of their instinct is seen as a failure on their part by women and so it becomes an insult to them.

Might be harsh but its true we are just animals with primal instincts.
