I don't have any aversion to smokers at all, there are some inconsiderate smokers, just as there are inconsiderate people who when drinking cans of pop, just throw down the can/bottle or whatever when they are finished or they bump into you and you get some splashed on you.
I have never smoked but I have friends who do and it doesn't bother me in the slightest.

Streets belong to the public,or should do, people pay council tax and they should be able to smoke if they want to, it's not like they will be following someone around smoking all the time, in all the time other people will be using the streets too.
By all means ban it from inside buildings other than the peoples own homes but out in the street,a step too far and how can you be doing anything morally illegal by smoking in the street when it's perfectly legal to buy cigarettes anyway.

It is beginning to seem like the nanny state, this Govt accused the last one of being, is now being taken on now by this coalition govt.
