Yeah, as much as I loved the first 2 there was still a bit of black humour about the deaths e.g. Sean William Scott's lol. IMO the problem with 3 and 4 were that it became more deliberately comedic like they were less about story and simply for grusome deaths and OTT accidents at the start of the film.
I'm still looking forward to this new one because A) Tony Todd's back meaning it is a sort of continuation to the first 2, and B) it'll be interesting and darker to see the survivors try and kill each other rather them help each other this time round.  |
