Both are great captains for their clubs so it was always going to be a hard choice for Steve McClaren.I would have gone for Steven Gerrard myself as he's been captain of Liverpool when they won 2 cup competitions and he drove Liverpool on as captain to win those two cups.England's goal is to win a cup competition and as a captain Gerrard's won 2 cup competitions so that's why I would have gone for him.
