This got a mention on Capital Radio this morning too.
Remarkably positive for a Sun article I felt too. Yes, there was the 'cashing in on fame' thing, but it was slipped in and the editor possibly felt the article needed supplemented with a few stock phrases. At least they are only being accused of cashing in on their fame, not their relationhip which is as much as we can reasonably expect.
I too wonder who these "friends" are. I suspect they are in fact the estate agents, as they seem to know a great deal about how much was paid for the house, and how much it was on the market for. And of course they used the estate agent's photo of the gaff.
The item is a bit money obsessed, but at least they are recognising that they are earning now from doing actual proper work, such as being on tv, or designing bits of car doors. They seem to have finally recognised Helen is not actually a hairdresser anymore.
Overall, the pair might be annoyed their front door has made the national press, but the piece does have the benefits of confirming to the nation that yes they are still together and getting on with their lives like normal people after their unusual experiences. Some people might only remember them for the sentational headlines, which are not how anyone wants to be known.
Poor downstairs neighbours - Now the press have finally located the site of the love nest there's bound to be the odd scurrilous photographer hanging around. This will no doubt be highly annoying, so perhaps if we club together we could take the premises off their hands. I'm sure we could knock even more than £5,000 off the asking price - especially if we threaten them with Dominic Mohan!
It does occur to me, that in mentioning Helen is now working on Sky TV, someone has remembered she is effectively employed by the same people, so it is bad form to be rude. Let's hope this lasts - they and their readers loved her last July and August. Now they've brushed their embarassing bad-call over the intentions of Paul under the carpet, they might be considering raising her profile in time to use her again for the new BB. If she's stays in her current job, or anything in tv she'll need to use the press effectively to maintain her public image.
Oh, it also occurs to me that The Sun are doing that celeb bingo thing. Anyone with Helen as one of their E-list celebs should score 2 points for an article featuring a photo.
