MONDAY: Gordon Ramsay’s US reality show returned to ITV2 with its biggest figures since 2008.

The ninth season of Hell’s Kitchen USA debuted with 572,200 (2.42%) across the 9pm hour, according to overnight Barb figures supplied by Attentional.

The latest series, in which 18 chefs compete for the head role at New York’s BLT Steak restaurant, drew an additional 137,200 (0.77%) on time-shifted ITV2+1.

It served up the best overnight ratings since the final of season four on 10 November 2008, which drew 685,900 (4.38%).

The new season also beat ITV2’s year-to-date slot average of 390,000 (1.6%).
