It seems as if there will be competition aginst Big Brother in the football arena anyway then.
The first leg of the Europa League play-off round will played that night (18th August) and will feature 7 British clubs: Celtic, Rangers, Hearts, Spurs, Fulham, Birmingham and Stoke City.
Not as much competition as an England match, but still a bit.
I know I'll be recording Big Brother in favour of watching Celtic anyway.
