Housemates will have their pedal power tested this afternoon, but a need for speed is not required.
Big Brother has installed an urban BMX track in the garden for housemates to race around in a test of haste not pace, as the slowest housemate will win a prize.
In the initial heats housemates must ride the course one at a time taking as long as possible to complete one lap of the circuit. The two housemates who complete the course in the slowest times will compete in the Big Ride Off final. Here the housemate who completes two laps of the course in the slowest time will be the winner and will be rewarded with a luxury prize.
Housemates will decide their own order in which to make their attempt on the course.
Housemates are provided with colour coded BMX bikes and safety gear:
Richard = Green
Glyn = Yellow
Nikki = Blue
Pete = Orange
Aisleyne = Silver
Jennie = Red
Housemates are not permitted to let their feet touch the track or ground during their ride. On each occasion if a housemate's foot or feet touch the ground, 10 seconds will be deducted from the housemate's final time.
Each time housemates fall off the track they will be penalised with 30 seconds deducted from their final time.
Housemates will have two hours to practice the course before the race begins.
