Default My take on the new housemates

If there was ever proof that the world is going down hill, watching big brother tonight was it. The artificial materialsim was absolutely astounding. I had to really question why I bother to watch it and came up with the following conclusion. People nowadays are extremely common and shallow - but amongst those vacuous individuals, there may be just one person who can stand out. Like Derek from BB6. An outsider and an intellectual with some depth. I watch because I crave for that interaction that was at the heart of big brother when it started.
But what do you get. Shallow woman after shallow woman walking on. Why does every single woman who goes on the show have to be so image conscious. Why do they all need to have short skirts and speak with the words 'like' after every sentence? Why do they have to make the noise 'MAH' when they give someone one of their false kisses. It pained me when the first two common shallow wannabes went in there, but that Amy Childs has to be the most common person I have seen, period. She is vile. There is no character. It is all about image and some of the first words I heard her say were 'lip gloss'. It is a disgrace to think how much these people are going to be paid to sit on their asses sipping free juice and alcohol, when other people who have individuality and soul have to slug it out.
But the men were no better. I couldn't take any of them seriously. Where were the deep sensitive individuals with a bit of class.
I just hope that the actual show brings on some honest and genuine characters. The thought of Childs now makes me sick. But the nature of the game is that she is common. And as she is common, a multitude of others will like her.
Oh and as for Brian. No. Slimy and strained. Also couldn't stop saying 'like' all the time, throwing in crap****e innuendos and looking like his make up was smeared on with a kids paintbrush.

An absolute disgrace of a first show. I saw no redeeming features in any of the characters.
