When it works, it's brilliant. It just rarely works (America's Player is an anomaly), and I know starry's talking about Jeff/Jordan not voting with Rachel. Stray votes can usually only work early on, because the fewer people there are, the more likely you are to get caught. The classic example's from Survivor Africa (not sure if anyone here's familiar with that show), but at the final ten, someone was supposed to be voted off 9-1. The vote was 8-2, someone was wrongly accused of casting the stray vote, and was then voted out the next round.
