It's ok - I had to look it up too!
They're based on what you win if you bet £1.
So if odds are 1/5, for example, you win £1 for every £5 you bet.
If they're 20, you win £20 for every £1.
If they're something strange like 13/2, for example, betting £2 gets you £13.
The smaller the fraction, the more likely that person is going to win. The higher the number, the less likely.
Richard at 60 is nearly impossible compared to Pete at 1/6, for example.
