In an ideal world, I would agree with you Joey.

But it isn't and the public regard celebs as their "property" and want to know every little detail about their lives. Many mags and papers would have to close down if this were not so.

It is a question of honesty, not sexuality, I think. The twins, by projecting an asexual image, can keep their options open. This may be important especially if one is gay and the other straight, and at a later stage this comes to light.

The act depends on them being identical in every way. A huge difference, such as sexuality, could jeopardise that.
