A "TV license" doesnt just cover the beeb, it covers having possession of any equipment that can be used for viewing TV broadcasts, throwing out the TV and watching online, you still need a licence to cover you.

If you dont want to pay it dont pay it, but dont buy any new equipment that can receive live broadcast programs, or if you do dont use your home address when buying it.
Wrap you TV and computer in at least three layers of a decent tin foil ogh and your sky box/freeview box etc.
