Celebrity Big Brother 2011 finalist Amy Childs is planning to take distance learning courses to prove she has brains as well as good looks.

‘She went on CBB to prove she isn't a bimbo,' says a pal.

'One of the reasons she left The Only Way Is Essex was because she felt she'd been painted as this dumb girl who only cares about vajazzles.

'Now she wants to get some more qualifications under her belt and prove she isn't that person.'

Amy, 21, won't have much time to study, however, if her TV show comes off.

‘The idea is that she'll go to India to learn about massage, to Japan to learn about geisha make-up and so on,' reveals our insider.

The beautician became one of our favourite characters on TOWIE after coming out with a series of classic questions, including: ‘Where's north London?'

Before CBB, she spoke about her days as head girl at the posh Raphael Independent School in Hornchurch, Essex, saying: ‘I have dyslexia and didn't do well in my GCSEs. But I'm proud because I tried my best and was a nice person.'
