When odds are shortening, does it mean a better chance or less of a chance of winning

Same with drifting...
It means, when they shorten the odds for the person, that bookies think that person has a better chance of winning.
Basically, all bookies think Pete's going to win.
Pete has been such a strong favourite since the very start. Bookies have taken tons of bets on him. The fact that Ash is climbing like this is hugely significant. The bookies can lay of
tons of dosh they have had on pete . Therefore the odds do not make a true reflection of either of their chances.Even on Friday Pete will probably still be the money favourite but only in money terms. This is a bookies dream, first they never want the favoutite to win and second it is an illusion that pete is such a good bet so even more money will be put on him.Does anyone really think he is gonna get 4 times the number of votes as Ash...??Apart from jokers that is.......
money will be put on pete.
