Disowning would be a step way too far but I would be terrified even at 19 to face any of my family again,if I even felt I could, were I ever to stoop so low when lying totally to then swear on my Mother's or for that matter any of my family's lives that I was telling the truth.
I think the lectures I would get and the disgust my Dad and Brothers etc would feel for me at that would be beyond calculation.
