It's been going that way for a few years now. I think last year definitely took the piss with the joke acts; Wagner kept going through, in my opinion, to make a point to the producers that people aren't happy with the show anymore. It is meant to be finding a new popstar; not ruining the lives and career opportunities of hopefuls through media scandals, embarrassing gimmicks and piss poor management.
