he doesn't seem ugly to me..and he is a bit of an 'impact' looking bloke, the sort who stands out at first but later on doesn't. If we didn't know about his grossness or his personality, he would seem quite attractive at first..which in the case of an escort is probably all that is required, at least in my opinion.
