Tom is in the category I call "Supposedly Bisexual". I.e. 100% gay but wants to keep a foot in the other camp for appearance sake. (Oops... I said camp!

I have an acquaintance who is also in that category. Unfortunately he was was kidding
himself as well as other people and he ended up marrying a woman. His divorce came through a week ago!
Tom is probably too camp for many gay men - never mind women!
