Age difference has nothing, whatsoever, to do with it. Faye seems to prefer older men ..maybe she needs that level of maturity within her chosen partner....this could be determined from the knowledge that she appears not to have good relations with her own father. So, there is nothing wrong with this dynamic, and is, afterall her own choice. I would also hazzard a very calculated guess that those many older viewers that you meantioned are wise enough to understand that Faye, sadly, has deep seated issue's which always have an affect upon those around you. She is a victim in her own right and deserves empathy ...but the real victims are those who have no option but to deal with the consequences.
