The problem with both X Factors this year is the amount of pre-recorded backing vocals. Yes, the boys are singing the verses and the choruses, but the choruses are also pre-recorded so they are singing over the top of them.
The USA X Factor dubbed the judges houses with studio recordings of the songs, which sounded ridiculous because you can never sound like you're in a studio when you're singing in someone's huge garden!
It's the strongest use of vocal boosting on this years show. It wasn't present at any stage when Leona/Alexandra or Shane won. It seems to have sprung up from last year.
If you look at the first of Paula's boybands, they're like Diversity vs a boyband. They make The Risk look like buskers. I don't like groups that are put together in front of our eyes. I know most groups ie Take That/Spice Girls/Steps started off as 5 people replying to adverts for a band but thats a bit different.
