There are many reasons people pretend to like others that are a world away from manipulation, manipulating someone you don't like to give you something or do something for you is manipulation in part.
In the BB house though, I cannot see any other personal gain whatsoever that Aaron would want or need.
He knows he has topped the votes in every eviction battle he has had, that is the only key to success on a BB series, he is in the final, what on earth could he need to gain by manipulating people.
The viewers will decide the winner, the housemates largely irrelevant now. Most of them have done their utmost to bring Aaron down with the public, they have failed every time as he's topped every eviction votes.
I'm sorry but I really cannot see your point as to what more he could gain by manipulating other housemates at all, there would be no point when you are already top of the votes with the public anyway.

I know exactly what you mean and when Aaron was ignoring Jay after putting his clothes in the bath, and after Anton was evicted, Aaron made it quite clear he was not the type of person to pretend to like someone,
1. "i'm not going to pretend i like someone, Im not scared of being put up"
yet we know he does pretend to like people because he told us
2. "I'm tired of pretending to like people so they don't put me up"
And Aaron has never been Top Alex Lu and Tom are all untested he knows that, he still has work to do. Contradiction is Aarons weakness, and it is also the weakness of a liar and a manipulator, tbh.
