You don't have to be hilarious to win Big Brother. I still thought he was funny, but the main reason I liked him was because I thought he was an amazing person, and not fake at all. And he wouldn't have won unless other people thought the same.
And as for the Tourette's thing, you're changing the topic there a bit - you might want to see if there's a similar thread on that.
