It's great to see a man like Jay being shown for the violent, aggressive lowlife that he is.
They are pissed off because Aaron chosing not to actively interract with them: exacerbates their guilt and they cannot run away and pretend that they don't know why.
If it didn't bother Jay and /or Louise: they wouldn't be making such a big deal of it. Aaron has hit a very raw nerve with both of them....and good for him for doing it.
