Yes, agree with this.
I think theres something to scotts theory really. Less viewers = more power to the forums. Aaron was the most popular housemate on EVERY forum by a considerable margin, hence he won.
Whilst Jay had an organised twitter campaign and loads of facebook fans and that, that does not always equal votes. I would guess at probably around 1 in 5 people who joined his fanpage actually voting. I remember during BB10 when someone would argue til they were blue in the face with me that funtime charlie would win because he had 50k supporters on facebook or something...when in actual fact, that facebook group was just recruiting people from newcastle to support a 'local'. Some of my friends joined the [page when they dont even watch big brother. I received an invite myself near the start of that series. People who join just because the person is local are very unlikely to actually vote.
Put quite simply, people on forums are more into the show than people who join fanpages on facebook. So people on forums are more likely to vote. So, whilst viewing figures remain relatively low, the forums have the majority of the power. The casual vote no longer decides the winner, so we are quite unlikely to get the dull and inoffensive winner anymore. Hence Jay and Aaron coming top 2 and Alex missing out. Even without facebook voting, IMO the result would have been the same.
