Aha, he changed, but there was still elements of cockiness when he was in the house that he couldn't suppress. But I don't care, he was an awesome HM. Nicey wicey HMs just bore me.

I believe the VT persona is who he really is and this personality 'leaked out' from time to time. We saw him on Jamie East's Holy Moly pre-auditon video and it's obvious that that is who he is. Jamie even said Aaron was really arrogant when they met again for the BBOT side 'head to head' bits.

The VT persona was essential to his game plan as it meant people were talking about him on launch night (who remembers Aden or Tashie's VTs!). Plus because he was 'unlikeable' in the VT it meant he couldn't let people down. If he did something bad in the house people wouldn't scream 'oh look, the mask has slipped. He's now showing his true colours' which is what happens when a nice housemate falls from grace.

I also think Aaron changed his persona BECAUSE of Anton. Anton and Aaron recognised each other as game players pretty much on launch night. Aaron was smart enough to realise
  1. he couldn't have the same game plan as Anton
  2. by changing to a geeky persona he could take on 'baddy' Anton

Also by being camp he would seem non-threating to the male housemates and female viewers. So when he 'led on Tom' and bed hopped with Maisy he didn't look like a womaniser/ player but the victim of sexual jealousy! He also cleverly 'cock-blocked' Anton the very night Anton was boasting about getting it on with Maisy. Aaron was 30, married and not some innocent choir boy. But I LOVED the fact he played the game.
