A man has been charged for attempting to smuggle more than 200 live animals on to a plane headed for Madrid, Spain.
Karel Abelovsky from the Czech Republic was caught in Buenos Aires, Argentina with a total of 247 creatures, ranging from mollusks to poisonous snakes to endangered reptiles.
The animals were stashed in plastic containers in a suitcase.
Staff at the Ezeiza Airport investigated Abelovsky's luggage when they found "organic substances moving inside" during a standard X-ray check.
The 51-year-old man could be jailed for ten years if he is found guilty of charges made against him.
