Teleshopping isin't live. Channel 5 are just popping a tape in the machine [or more than likely opening a file on a computer and clicking play but that doesn't sound as romantic].
Putting a live show to TV is another matter entirely. It costs
a lot more. It's not just 'flicking a switch' it's sending stuff to mother****ing space and then sending it back to planet Earth. Live as it happens.
Yeah the stream is running at Elstree all the time but it's just going straight to hard disk to be edited for a highlights show.
If the live stream was earning more revenue than airing prerecorded footage - be it Teleshopping on 5* or Gilmour Girls on Channel 4 - then I'm sure these networks would be giving us the feed. After all they want to make money.
But they're not. They stopped.
