I became asthmatic when I was a little baby because of a woman who was sitting next to my mum on the ferry from France to England. She smoked the entire time, the ferry was packed and my mum was exhausted. So I just breathed in all this smoke into my lungs, and apparently this triggered my asthma. So, in effect, passive smoking gave me asthma. Which is why I am so deeply against smoking. Whenever I walk past someone smoking in the street, I hold my breath and count to five after I've walked past them. Then I breathe again. I really hate it, I do not understand what the attraction is. People KNOW what it does to you. Anyone pleading ignorance is lying. We've all seen the TV campaigns, and we all know about the lung cancer. And yes, I know it's addictive, but why bother in the first place? It's expensive, deadly and the withdrawal symptoms are terrible!
