It was horrible, rubble and smoke everywhere.....lots of policemen, firemen, ambulances etc. Basically we were only a couple of feet away from where the twin towers WOULD have been....and it was just a complete mess. It made me feel sad too, because it was my first time to New York so I never knew what the Twin Towers actually were like....but from that spot I could imagine what they would've been like...
It was well depressing! And it made me feel really annoyed, like, there are enough problems in the world, why add to it in such a way?
Oh and no we weren't told about it in school I don't think. We were for the London 7/7 bombs though - some of my friends heard it on the radio in Textiles, and everyone went mental - especially me, because my dad was in London! [/quote]
Surprisingly, the London 7/7 wasn't huge news over here.
I remember that my mom was in London on vacation with one of her friends on that day.
