Can people outside the UK/Ireland vote?
I was just wondering if people living outside of the UK and Ireland can vote in CBB. I personally don't think they should be allowed to vote. I think voting should be restricted to only people living in the UK and Ireland, whatever their nationality. The reason is that if anyone around the world can vote it can potentially turn into a situation where people from abroad vote for the celebrity from their own country because of national preference or because that's the only one they really know and the larger countries will have more influence.
Hypothetically if there was a chinese celebrity who comes onto UK CBB and even just 5 percent of the population of China decide they want to make him win then it's contest over because 5 percent of China is the same as the entire population of the UK. He will definately will purely because of nationality.
International voting is subject to nationalist bias and can't really work.
Thinking back to the CBB where Shilpa won. I don't know if voting was open to the international audience too but if it was then maybe with india being almost as populated as China, and she is a big celebrity there, that indians voted in large numbers and influenced the vote.
