Entertaining housemates are ones who spark discussions. As I have said before in other threads, forums like this wouldn't exist if it weren't for interesting housemates creating talking points, and shows like Bit On The Side rely on these housemates as well. The twins create many talking points, forums like these thrive on it, the entire show does. If there's nothing to talk about, there's nothing to watch and the show would fall flat on its face.
It's not about who you'd have at a tea party with your friends, it's about who makes the best TV, sparks the most discussions. It doesn't matter what they are like, it's what they contribute to the show that counts.
Nobody watches the news for entertainment (well, unless they're sadistic). Big Brother is an entertainment show, and it relies on entertaining housemates.
