There are many Germans - including German soldiers - who are honoured by the Jews as 'Righteous Among the Nations' for helping Jewish people during the holocaust, risking their own lives and freedom.

As for the extradition story... Although no laws were being broken in the UK, this person - unless he is a fool - knew that he was breaching copyright somewhere. Having said that, the UK is far too eager to comply with American requests for extradition while the Americans themselves have no such compunction to be as compliant by handing over people to other countries. Do you think that if the Italians ever get their act together and demand the extradition of Amanda Knox, the Americans will ever hand her over? We should tell them to do one.

I think the link between the two stories is a little tenuous.
