How come, in the soaps, everybody just let's people they've known for 5 minutes move into their homes etc.
Aw, you're down on your luck, come and stay with me, you can work in my pub/shop/cafe. I'm QUITE sure you won't murder me/rape me/ steal all my stuff/burn my house down.
