Governments are in a difficult situation when things like this occur, even 7 days notice didn't leave much time for people to have enough fuel they may need, David Cameron didn't know for sure that there would not be a strike before Easter or around Easter.

Francis Maude was the one who made the jerry can error.

Governments are damned if they do and damned if they don't. I don't blame David Cameron for this panic, he always said in every speech I have seen him make on this, just add that bit extra to your tanks,he never said rush out and clean the garages out.

There seems to be a lot of press criticising David Cameron for this that and the other lately, he has I think bad judgement but the Daily Mail, come on, it has to be on a par with the Sun for printing nonsense and near fiction.
