I once mistook a grass snake for a stick when I was really young playing outside my Auntie's farm house. I picked it up thinking it was a plain old stick but it wriggled out of my hand and onto my lap and all this, terrified me at first but I think it kind of started my love of snakes. My Dad made sure it wasn't an Adder (the venomous ones) and I held it and stuff, really cool.
Also on holiday in Malta I saw a chameleon climbing onto our balcony, was really gorge.
