He didn't have a transfer window under FSG, they took over after the summer window and he was sacked at the start of the winter one.
Anyway, if you're on such a limited budget then you're comitting suicide by blowing the Mascherano money on what he did. He done well signing Meireles though, I'll give him that.

Even if Liverpool win the FA Cup now to add to the Carling Cup, it does not disguise the fact that the club have not made the top 4 again because the money that comes from the Champions League and TV deals etc is really good and it helps to attract quality players of course.

Kenny gets a lot of critisism for the awful league performance an some of the signings, all you have to do is have a look on RAWK. It is a forum of legendkillers but mentioning Sterling every 5 minutes instead of Pogba.
FSG will give him time but they've already shown they're not happy with the performance this year by getting rid of a lot of the backing staff. Kenny won't be here this time next year unless there is a massive improvement in the league, and to be honest I wouldn't say it's a guarantee that he'll be here in 3 months time when the season kicks off either.
