Arrow The Elder Scrolls: Online - Console versions delayed

The Elder Scrolls Online has been revealed by Bethesda.

The massively-multiplayer title allows players to explore the entirety of Tamriel in an adventure set a millennium before the events of Skyrim, according to Game Informer.

It will combine the extensive exploration elements of the stand-alone Elder Scrolls games with the social and collaborative aspects of an MMO.

Solo and public dungeons have been confirmed, along with player-versus-player combat that sees three factions fight in open-world warfare.

The adventure is set during the reign of daedric prince Molag Bal as he attempts to destroy Tamriel.

Developed by Zenimax Online Studios, it will be under the leadership of veteran MMO designer Matt Firor, who last worked on Dark Age of Camelot.

"It will be extremely rewarding finally to unveil what we have been developing the last several years," said Firor.

"The entire team is committed to creating the best MMO ever made - and one that is worthy of The Elder Scrolls franchise."

The first teaser trailer and in-game screenshot will be released tomorrow.

The Elder Scrolls Online will be available on PC and Mac in 2013.

Skyrim's first DLC pack 'Dawnguard' was teased earlier this week, while the Xbox 360 version was updated with Kinect support.
