It's actually "you can't teach your grandmother how to suck eggs." It's supposed to mean don't try to tell your elders how to do something they already know how to do/ or .... Don't be a patronising little Bastard.

My dad used to say to us as kids "Come here while I give you a slap" or "do you want a smack". He never did it by the way, but it was effective in stopping us from whatever we were doing wrong.
