I think he was very polite and restrained tbh, using the term *unpleasant".
Also, if they try to disallow it, fight them all the way, it's utterly ridiculous. They'd make themselves look very petty and small minded, especially given his excellent record

Edit:Also reading Niamh's point ^ you could argue in fact that the school is victimizing your brother, as all he did was answer a question, an ill thought out question imo. They are lucky they didn't get pupils calling teachers much worse, maybe they did
