I love this topic. What is everyone's favourite British film? Difficult isn't it? Black and White films, my favourites have to be any of the Ealing Comedies such as Kind Hearts and Coronets and Passport to Pimlico. I also loved Brief Encounter. Modern British films: Four Weddings and a Funeral and My Beautiful Laundrette.
