I'd even love if they just got rid of the hall leading down to the DR - and had it one room again, but they never would because of what happened in BB7. Not that the producers of Channel 5's Big Brother even have any knowledge on the events of BB7 - I think their logic is;

'There's a hall here, lets no bother moving the diary room. There's nothing wrong with it and it's fine as it is. The hall is also fine. And the leather wall that we've had for the past 3 series is also perfect and goes with anything, let's keep that. How wonderful.'

You're right - moving that DR would of been the only thing that could of made the house better.

..That and getting rid of the tacky graphics in the bathroom, garden and bedroom walls.
I want to agree with you, BUT a few European BBs hardly change their house design at all. Italian BB for example has the same house as BB1 and the same LOGO! The eye has been the same from BB1-BB12. The lack of change makes them focus on outrageous and brilliant twists throughout the run (and because the last 3 series have been 5-6 months long). It hasn't damaged its popularity, actually I think the final 2 series ago (BB10 I think for them) received 9m viewers and around a 6 milliion average, 10 years on.

So, it's quite good that they try to change it every series here.
