I'm afraid I don't have any concrete ideas but I thought I would let you know that I am using Outlook Express and have also installed the "blast" patch but via a Virgin.net mirror site.

The main thing I would think is to ensure your address book and message store are both backed up so if you have to reinstall the program you won't lose any information that's important.

I'm sure there's someone who is more techie than me who can help further on this site!
