I am sure the untold numbers of people who have been celebrating the occasion all around the world would not agree with you. Although some of the funding does come from the tax payer, not all of it actually does. For instance the 10.5 million used for the flotilla yesterday came from privately donated funds, and I am sure it will have a lasting memory for those who took part in the celebrations.
